First Congregational UCC welcomed Rev. Matt Schneider-Adams to serve as Senior Pastor in July of 2023.  Matt was born and raised in central California, in a family where faith, music, and community service were central driving forces of life. He received his BA from San Jose State University, and his Master of Divinity from UCC-related Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. He has served United Church of Christ congregations in New York State, Iowa, and Wisconsin. He is married to Rev. Susan Schneider-Adams, who serves churches in the region as an Interim Pastor.  Matt and Sue are the parents of two grown children. What Matt does for fun and sanity includes hanging with family, grilling food, gardening, Brewer/Packer fandom, building things, hiking, and working out.
