We are so glad you’re here!

May we be the first to welcome you to our church. Our mission is to engage and inspire all generations to connect with God through love and service. Whether you are just starting to ask questions about faith, a committed disciple of Christ, or find yourself somewhere in between, we hope to connect with you and grow together in our faith journey.

Please take a second to say “hi” below. We look forward to getting to know you.

Youth Education

Sunday School youth are divided into 4 different age groups (3-5 years of age, 1st-4th Grade, 5th-8th Grade and 9th-12 Grade).  We use the Rotation Model for children and youth 3 years old through 4th grade.  This learning model is research based and helps support our youth to retain new information.

The Rotation model allows students to move together through several learning environments, while learning a single Bible story.  Our curriculum is based around exploring and learning through Art, Games, Stories, and STEM.  Children are able to retain Bible stories if they hear and explore them more than just one week.

The Middle and High School youth spend their time together in a discussion-based curriculum, which is engaging and helps them grow as Christians and where they are on life’s journey.

Youth fellowship groups are also a great opportunity for our church family to support our youth’s spiritual journey.  This entails planned social activities and mission opportunities.  They have the ability to serve others in ways that challenge them to look beyond themselves as they discover first-hand, the joy of being active and vibrant members in their church and community.

Our Youth Groups are led by trained adult members of our congregation and include: Junior Youth for 3rd-8th grades and High School Youth for 9th-12th grades.

What does “Youth Group” mean to you?

“I liked the game room the best because we got to be active.”

~ Ella W.

“I liked that we weren’t in the same room every week and got to do different activities.”

~ Owen W.

“I love my church because it is full of positive energy and people can be who they want to be. There is something for anyone who wants to be involved, no matter how old they are.”

~ Katie S.

Adult Education

There is no end destination when growing in our faith.  Every question leads to an open door to explore and grow closer to God.  To some, this may be uncharted territory but as a church family, we learn beside one another and support every step of your journey.

Throughout the year there are a variety of adult studies each with a different focus and grounded in our vision of “Engage and inspire all generations to connect with God through love and service.”  Whether you are looking for a group of ladies to connect with through our “Women’s Connection Group” or a Pastor led Bible study we have the perfect spot for you to feel safe and welcome at every study.

Hearts and Hands Christian Preschool

We want to help your child grow and develop socially, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually in a Christian environment. Our philosophy is to provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing place for children to discover and understand the world through play with a purpose. We plan a wide range of activities that will provide your child with a stepping stone toward a successful future. Our prayer is that together we can use our hearts and hands to help your child enjoy their preschool experience. Click here for more information.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” - Matthew 22:37

A safe and secure Christian learning environment

The congregation of First Congregational United Church of Christ aspires to be a God-centered fellowship. Here, all can seek a closer relationship with God in a trusting and nurturing place. As part of this mission, one of our goals is to provide a safe environment for the children and youth who are entrusted to our care as they participate in our programs and use our facilities. We want our congregation to be a haven, free of sexual misconduct or harassment. To help reach these goals, we have adopted a Safe Sanctuary Covenant that includes policies, procedures and educational programs to ensure a trusting environment for our church members and visitors of all ages.
